Porsche Tennis Grand Prix
The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is a tennis tournament which has been held every year since 1978. Since 2006 the Porsche-Arena has been home to the internationally reputed ladies' tournament. Right from the premier staged in the New Hall, the event has been a resounding success: The top-calibre matches played here have been witnessed by over 35,000 spectators. In 2009 the tournament was held on a sand court for the first time.
The world's top women tennis players fight it out for the highly prized awards in the oldest women's indoor tennis tournament: The winner can choose between a cash prize or a Porsche sports car.
The tournament is organized by Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche AG. The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is a Tier II WTA Tour event.
