The high point in the calendar of events held on the Cannstatter Wasen pleasure grounds is without doubt the traditional Cannstatter Volksfest which starts annually in the last week of September.  An agricultural fair is staged at the same time once every four years.

Another highlight of the calendar on the Cannstatter Wasen is the Frühlingsfest, a spring fair which attracts visitors from mid April to the beginning of May.

At the end of every year, the site hosts the "World Christmas Circus". The grounds are also used to stage open-air concerts. Guest artists have included the legendary Rolling Stones and Bon Jovi.
