The Macromedia University of Applied Sciences for Media and Communication offers students a highly practical course of study in one of the German media cities Stuttgart, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne. With close links to the media sector near the respective campuses, the state-approved private university of applied sciences trains the media representatives of tomorrow.
Professional technical equipment, the students' involvement in practical projects right from the start in the first semester, numerous lecturers from the media industry and guest speakers from leading media companies all combine to offer students a degree program, combining theoretical knowledge and practical relevance, which will qualify them to immediately begin working in their profession or, alternatively, to go on to do a master's degree. A Center for Applied Media Research and a master's degree course are currently planned for 2009

Studying in the Media Center Römerkastell
The Stuttgart campus of the Macromedia University of Applied Sciences is in the Media Center Römerkastell. All lecture rooms are equipped with multimedia computers, fast internet access, video projectors as well as all the necessary peripherals such as scanners and color laser printers. In the immediate vicinity are a private broadcasting company, many advertising agencies, event management companies, creative industry companies, IT-companies and online service providers. The site is regularly used by production companies for shootings. This proximity to media companies is also visible during events such as "Open Campus", "Design Your Future" and "Cross-Media Day", when students professionally present their projects.
