Every year at the start of the Winter Semester, the State Capital of Stuttgart and its universities and technical colleges in the city co-operate in organising a Welcome Week, to which all freshers are invited. There is a wide-ranging programme of events laid on for the students, during which they can get to know Stuttgart as a lively, innovative and international city: basketball, literature, architecture, cinema and theatre - there are always lots of surprising aspects to discover. And as an added benefit, they will meet other new students along the way.
Welcome Week 2009
The Welcome Week 2009 takes place from 26 to 31 October. It offers e.g. a guided tour through the Stuttgarter Pressehaus, a visit in the artmuseum, or "Basketball at night". This year's highlight is a big partysession on the Theodor-Heuss-Straße on October 29.
