The Stuttgart City Library embraces the future. With a range of innovative concepts and projects, it occupies a position in the knowledge economy and together with the city's many institutes of education and culture it forges new knowledge networks both in the city and across the region. A collection of around 1 million books and media items are available for loan. With a wide-ranging program of events and exhibitions, it makes a valuable contribution to the quality of life and acts as a forum for literature, art and music from the city and the region.
