Every summer, amateurs and professionals fight it out in the Standard and Latin American ballroom dancing disciplines for hotly contested awards and prize money at the German Open Championships. The tournament is the world's biggest dance festival: Over 5 days, over 2000 couples from every continent display their championship dancing skills. The German Open Championships have been held since 2004 in the Liederhalle Culture and Congress Centre.
