What does open data mean?
The term "open data" refers to data that is of general interest to society and is therefore made available free of charge and for unrestricted reuse. It is published under free licenses with only two possible requirements for further use: the obligation to name the author and the obligation to only pass on further processed data to third parties under the original free license. Open data contains neither personal data nor other information that is subject to data protection.
Open geodata and test data
The open geodata of the City Surveying Office can be downloaded from the Open Data Portal of the City of Stuttgart. In addition, you will find further test data for otherwise chargeable geodata sets on the website of the City Surveying Office (see below), which you can download free of charge for test purposes. For further information and information on other geodata, other data formats or other resolutions, please contact the Customer Center of the City Surveying Office.
Important: To be able to read the data, you must first save the zip files on your computer.
Licenses: These datasets are provided under open Creative Commons licenses (opens in a new tab). If the data of the state capital Stuttgart (LHS) becomes part of the OpenStreetMap database work, a mention of the LHS in the list of contributors is sufficient. A mention of the LHS in any use of the data, including by licensees of the above-mentioned database work, is then no longer required. An indirect mention is sufficient (reference to the publisher of the database work, which in turn refers to the state capital Stuttgart).
Liability: The contents and data records published here have been carefully researched. Nevertheless, the City of Stuttgart does not guarantee the timeliness, accuracy, completeness and long-term availability of this content.
