Counseling for children and teenagers
krisenchat: The service offers 24/7 crisis counseling via chat for anyone under the age of 25. It is a nationwide psychosocial support service for young people in crisis situations. Children, teenagers and young adults under the age of 25 can get in touch free of charge around the clock, 7 days a week. krisenchat offers professional chat counseling via WhatsApp or SMS, which is provided by volunteer crisis counselors, mainly from the fields of psychotherapy, psychology, social work and social pedagogy.

"Between the Lines" help platform: The "Between the Lines" app was launched in Stuttgart in fall 2023. It is aimed at teenagers and young adults, offers low-threshold information on mental illness and provides a comprehensive overview of suitable contact points in Stuttgart. The free and ad-free app is now available to download from the Google Play Store and Apple Store and can also be found on the app's website.

Digital Streetwork Stuttgart: The Stuttgarter Jugendhausgesellschaft offers digital social work. The digital street workers can be reached by children, teenagers and young adults via social media. They use these online platforms like conventional social workers. They write to young people, listen to them and try to find the right help together. No one should feel alone and everyone should have the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life.
Support in case of illness and disability
Dementia support group: People with dementia can become increasingly withdrawn due to their illness or there may be hardly any social contact other than with family caregivers. The volunteers in our circle of helpers are helpful here by looking after people with dementia once or several times a week for a few hours. The Dementia Support Group is a service offered by the Evangelical Society and can be contacted on 0711 2054 225.
Discussion groups for relatives of people with dementia: Relatives of people suffering from dementia are often so stressed mentally and emotionally by the care and nursing of people with dementia that they lose contact with other people. The monthly discussion groups offer a space to talk, exchange ideas and be understood and accepted by people who are going through similar experiences. The discussion groups are offered by the Evangelical Society and can be reached by calling 0711 2054 374 .

Dementia-friendly Bad-Cannstatt network: Dementia-friendly Bad-Cannstatt offers services for people with forgetfulness and orientation difficulties and for their relatives. More and more people suffering from dementia are living in Bad Cannstatt. This disease is often a major challenge for people with dementia and their relatives. The network "Together for a dementia-friendly Bad Cannstatt", consisting of over 40 cooperation partners, helps to create an environment in Bad Cannstatt in which people with dementia feel welcome, safe and supported.

Self-help
The KISS self-help contact point is the central point of contact for self-help in Stuttgart. The facility informs, advises and connects people who are interested in self-help groups and self-organized initiatives in Stuttgart. Over 500 offers are listed in the database and can be searched for by keyword. All offers are free of charge.
Go to neighborhood meetings
Loneliness is not a flaw. Many people want more contact, more closeness and togetherness. Those who want to break out of loneliness can seek new encounters. In many Stuttgart districts, there are open meeting places where anyone and everyone can go. Just drop by. Here you will find contact persons and activities.
Intergenerational meetings
All generations are welcome in Stuttgart's community centers and meeting places.
A good example is the district and family center Treffpunkt Pfaffenäcker in Weilimdorf. Here, there are various daily activities for young and old that strengthen togetherness and facilitate encounters, for example an open contact café, parent-child groups, an indoor playground or exercise classes for older people.

WohnCafés
WohnCafés are meeting places for people from the neighborhood. People can come together here to relax, exchange ideas and get to know each other. The WohnCafés in Stuttgart's districts are a cooperative offer from the Verein für Integrative Wohnformen e.V. (Association for Integrative Forms of Living).

Generation House Heslach
The "Café Nachbarschafft" in the Generationenhaus Heslach is open from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 17:00, except on holidays. As part of the welcome culture, the café is open every Wednesday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. as a learning café and for questions from refugees from the neighborhood.
The Gebrüder Schmid Center in the Generationenhaus Heslach thrives on regular activities and encounters. Around 60 initiatives, groups and associations ensure a colorful, lively diversity in the house and promote encounters and togetherness between generations and cultures.
Zuhause leben e.V.
The association Zuhause leben offers neighborhood assistance and individual care services. For example, it advises on issues relating to care classification and the organization of assistance in caring for people with disabilities. Christmas Together e.V. is a young association that was founded to support people who have no one to spend Christmas with. Telephone services
Chat phone: Here you can make telephone friends - if possible in the same neighborhood. The topics arise while chatting and getting to know each other on the phone. The chat phone is an idea of the Stuttgart Community Foundation that was launched in December 2020. Cooperation partners are the state capital Stuttgart, the Protestant Telephone Counseling Service Stuttgart, the Protestant Society and Treffpunkt 50+. Dreiklang" senior citizens' telephone service: The telephone service offers older people the opportunity to talk about everyday matters, pleasant or stressful things or if they feel lonely. Every day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the telephone service is staffed by volunteers, most of whom are of retirement age themselves and have an open ear for you. If necessary and on request, older people are called regularly. The staff are bound to confidentiality. The "Dreiklang" telephone service for senior citizens is provided by the Evangelical Society. Visitingservice "Vierte Lebensphase": The Evangelische Gesellschaft Stuttgart offers the visiting service primarily for single older people who feel lonely, emotionally burdened or affected by dementia. Malteser Visiting and Accompaniment Service: As they get older, many people experience increasing loneliness. In such situations, the visiting and companionship service of the Malteser Hilfsdienst Stuttgart offers an opportunity to promote social participation and increase well-being. A pleasant conversation, reading a book or the newspaper together are just as conceivable as a relaxing walk in nature or a cozy visit to the city café.

Voluntary visiting service of the Degerlocher Frauenkreis e.V.: The visiting service is part of the Degerlocher Frauenkreis e.V. and was founded in 1984. Culture for All Initiative
The "Kultur für Alle Stuttgart e.V." initiative (opens in a new tab) aims to enable people with little money to participate in cultural events free of charge and cooperates with many partners from the cultural sector. Lonely people can also take advantage of offers here.

Music academy for senior citizens
The association "Musikakademie für Senioren Baden-Württemberg" in Stuttgart offers music to combat loneliness. It aims to bring people who are interested in music together through time-limited and challenging music education programs. At the academy, senior citizens can actively engage with music during the day and make music in smaller performances in the choir, orchestra or jazz band with around 160 members. The Swabian Albverein in Bad Cannstatt
The Swabian Albverein - Bad Cannstatt local group - invites all those interested in an evening of exercise. The motto of the after-work tours is "10,000 steps from the center of Cannstatt". From May up to and including August, circular tours lasting around 2 hours take place on various weekdays at 6 pm. There are many initiatives and ideas that are still looking for people who would like to get involved. Helping others together can overcome your own loneliness:
- Volunteer exchange of the Stuttgart Volunteer Agency: The online platform "Volunteer Exchange" of the Stuttgart Volunteer Agency mediates between supply and demand for civic engagement. Citizens can find the right offer here and organizations can publish their demand for volunteers.
- WelcomeSponsors: The initial period in a new city holds numerous challenges. Volunteer welcome mentors support new residents and their families. They accompany them to public offices, help them learn German and find a job, as well as many other matters. Anyone interested can contact Lisa Hauff at the Welcome Center Stuttgart. - Specialist office for digital participation in old age, Office for Social Affairs and Participation: Civically committed people accompany senior citizens into the digital world and support them in acquiring digital skills.
