The Corona pandemic has made that worse.
The state capital Stuttgart wants to do something
against the loneliness of the people.
For this purpose, there is the project "Together - ZusammenHalt" find.
The project has been in existence since July 25, 2022.
The goal of the project is:
There should be good offers against loneliness in Stuttgart.
On this website you will find information
on the topic of loneliness.
Would you like to participate in the program
and offer a service yourself?
You are very welcome to do so.
Loneliness
Loneliness is not a nice feeling.
Nobody likes to be lonely.
Do you want to find a way out of loneliness?
For that, you need courage and openness to new things.
Types loneliness
Each person can feel loneliness differently.
Some people feel lonely for this reason:
They don't have a person in their life
whom they can trust well.
They don't have a person in their life
with whom they feel connected.
Other people feel lonely for this reason:
They don't have nice relationships with other people at all.
Difference between lonely and alone
Being alone is different from loneliness.
Loneliness is unwanted.
You have many people around you?
You can still feel lonely.
Maybe because you don 't have a bond with the other people.
Some people choose to be alone.
They are happy doing so.
They could decide that for themselves.
Loneliness is a taboo
Loneliness is a taboo subject in society.
That means:
People don't talk about loneliness.
Perhaps they are ashamed of the feeling.
But everyone feels lonely sometimes.
It's only bad if it's always like that.
That's why it's important:
We talk about loneliness.
How many people in Stuttgart suffer from loneliness?
In 2021, the state capital conducted a survey
among the citizens.
The result of the survey is:
About 20,000 people in Stuttgart feel lonely.
Are some people particularly lonely?
Anyone can experience loneliness.
It particularly often affects people between the ages of 18 and 29.
And older people aged 80 and over also often feel lonely.
These people also experience loneliness particularly often:
- People with a migration background.
People or their families have come to Germany from another country.
- People with health problems
- People with little money
How does loneliness arise?
Loneliness can happen differently for each person.
Reasons can be, for example:
- Moving to a new city or country
- End of a relationship
- illness
- an important person in life dies
Loneliness can make you sick.
A person has been feeling lonely for a long time?
Then it also becomes more difficult to get out of loneliness.
But it is still possible.
For example, there are offers from the city of Stuttgart.
How can I get out of loneliness?
The city of Stuttgart offers many services to combat loneliness.
Here you can get support.
And you can meet new people.
Many partners and other institutions participate.
