Information on device replacement

Old refrigerators, freezers, washing machines and dishwashers are unnecessary power guzzlers, generate several hundred euros in electricity costs per year and are therefore a burden on your household budget and the environment.

It runs and runs and runs - 24 hours a day, seven days a week. So it's no wonder that the fridge has a major impact on household energy consumption. For example, an outdated fridge-freezer can account for up to 20 percent of a household's total electricity consumption. Switching to the highest efficiency class saves an average of 80 euros a year in hard cash and 130 kilos of CO2 annually.

The washing machine also runs up to 5 times a week in a 4-person household. With a washing machine in the highest efficiency class with around 260 wash cycles per year, valuable water and electricity can be saved, which is not only good for the climate and the environment, but also for the family's financial budget.
