Women's network

Online portal

The women's network.

Women often have specific questions about employment, childcare, healthcare and advice. The FrauenNetz bundles information and specific offers from Stuttgart authorities and organizations. The aim is to provide targeted support and empowerment for women in different life situations.

The Stuttgart Women's Network of the City of Stuttgart is an online platform with specific offers for women.

What is the FrauenNetz?

The FrauenNetz is an online platform of the state capital Stuttgart. It is aimed at women of all ages and in different life situations, whether professional, family or personal. The clearly structured website provides easy access to information and specific offers in areas such as work, health, family, advice and more.

Why does the FrauenNetz exist?

Women face particular challenges in many areas of life, for example when it comes to balancing work and family life, accessing financial security or dealing with discrimination. In Germany, women are more likely to work part-time, take on more care work and are affected by poverty more often than average in old age. Many also experience multiple discrimination, for example due to their origin, religion, sexual identity, disability or social situation. This is where the FrauenNetz comes in: It connects women with existing advice and support services in Stuttgart and at the same time promotes awareness of equality and equal opportunities in urban society.

What does the women's net do?

The FrauenNetz is more than just a digital information service: it is a tool for networking, participation and empowerment. It empowers women to overcome barriers, go their own way and develop their potential. The platform creates valuable contacts between women from different sectors, life situations and backgrounds. This networking creates new perspectives and opens doors to professional and personal development opportunities.

Who is behind it?

The FrauenNetz is an online platform of the state capital Stuttgart and was developed by the Department for Equal Opportunities. It has been working for many years to reduce structural inequalities and works closely with organizations, institutions and city departments. Its legal mandate is to promote the equal participation of all people - regardless of gender and/or sexual orientation.
