Offers for families

For a variety of reasons, things may not be running smoothly in the family and support is needed. In these cases, the Youth Welfare Office helps with advice and a variety of services.

Sudden illness, excessive demands, lack of expertise: the child's well-being can be affected for a wide variety of reasons. Most parents want the best for their child - and for the city of Stuttgart, too, the child's well-being comes first. That's why the Youth Welfare Office helps parents with counseling and other assistance.

The offers of the city of Stuttgart

Families who are overburdened in the short term or face multiple stresses should be able to receive support as quickly and easily as possible. All offers can be individually tailored to the needs of the families.

Civic engagement

In addition to the city's counseling services, there are a number of voluntary offers to relieve the burden on families. Volunteers can relieve the burden of everyday family life on an hourly basis or over a longer period of time and help with visits to the authorities, for example. The volunteer officers at the Youth Welfare Office will be happy to advise you.

Volunteering brings neighborhoods to life, strengthens a diverse society and encourages people to come together. Together, hand in hand, more can often be achieved than alone. The volunteer work is coordinated and professionally supported by the full-time staff, but does not replace the necessary professional help.

The Stuttgart Youth Welfare Office and the independent organizations offer a wide range of programs and fields of activity for civic engagement. If you would like advice on this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
