Yellow card: Privacy information

The state capital collects personal data solely for the purpose of processing the Yellow Card - the city's ideas and complaints management system.

The collected data is automatically anonymized two years after receipt.

According to the GDPR, every person affected by data processing has the following rights in particular:

• Right to information about the data stored about them and how it is processed (Art. 15 GDPR).
• Right to have data corrected if their data is inaccurate or incomplete (Art. 16 GDPR)
• Right to erasure of personal data stored about them, if one of the conditions of Art. 17 DSGVO applies. In addition to the exceptions mentioned in Art. 17(3) of the GDPR, the right to erasure of personal data does not exist if erasure is not possible or only possible with disproportionate effort due to the special nature of the storage. In these cases, deletion is replaced by restriction of processing pursuant to Art. 18 DSGVO.
• Right to restriction of data processing if the data have been processed unlawfully, the data are needed for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims of the data subject or, in the event of an objection, it has not yet been determined whether the interests of the registration authority prevail over those of the data subject (Article 18 (1) litt b, c and d DSGVO).
• If the accuracy of the personal data is disputed, there is a right to restrict processing for the duration of the accuracy check
• Right to object to certain data processing, unless there is a compelling public interest in the processing that outweighs the interests of the data subject and no legal provision requires processing (Article 21 GDPR).

The transfer of personal data for purposes other than those permitted by law is only permissible if the data subject has consented (Art. 6 para. 1 litt. a DS-GVO). The consent can be revoked at any time in accordance with Art. 7 (3) DS-GVO vis-à-vis the body to which the consent was previously given.
