Promotion of independent sponsors

Funding is provided in accordance with the funding guidelines of the state capital, usually by resolution of the municipal council. The municipal subsidies take the form of personnel cost subsidies, material cost subsidies, rental cost subsidies and other expenses.

A subsidy is tied to certain conditions, without which a subsidy is not possible:

• The measure for which funding is requested is necessary and suitable for fulfilling a task within the scope of municipal services of general interest.
• The overall financing of the measure is secured.
• The applicant uses his or her own funds to an appropriate extent.
• The municipal council approves the funding.
• As a rule, funding is limited to services provided for the residents of the state capital Stuttgart.

• Non-statutory welfare associations
• Churches and religious communities under public law
• Self-help groups or other providers whose activities are recognized by the municipal council as worthy of support and who guarantee the appropriate and proper use of public funds.
