The city of Stuttgart fulfills its duty to ensure traffic safety in public road areas by carrying out regular inspections.
Should personal injury or property damage nevertheless occur, a claim for damages could arise against the city. This is the case, for example, if you fall and injure yourself because of sidewalk damage or if your vehicle is damaged by a pothole.
In these cases, you can informally submit a written claim for damages. The city will then check whether the claim is justified.
