Instruction for employees in the food sector in accordance with Section 43 of the Infection Protection Act (health certificate). Infectious diseases can be transmitted to other people via food. If you come into contact with food at work or clean objects such as dishes, the risk of this transmission route should be minimized.
You therefore need a certificate from the public health department stating that you have attended an instruction course and have been informed about the correct handling of food.
- regularly work in the kitchens of restaurants or
- other communal catering facilities.
Note: This certificate replaces the previous health certificate in accordance with the Federal Epidemics Act. If you already have a health certificate, you do not need to attend an instruction session. The old certificates remain valid.
Initial instructions usually take place online. In exceptional cases and under the conditions described below, face-to-face instruction may be offered.
Simplified instruction for volunteers
For volunteers at club festivals and similar events with a maximum working time of three days per year, it is sufficient to observe the requirements and instructions in the "Information sheet on the prevention of foodborne infections" (opens in a new tab).
Registration for online instruction
The initial instruction according to § 43 IfSG is an online instruction (film and questions). Registration for the online instruction is on the Service-BW page (opens in a new tab).
If you have problems with the application, registration or general technical problems, please contact the responsible office on the start page of the service portal at the bottom under -Contact-. Your request will be processed as quickly as possible.
