User fees for accommodation for refugees - arrange a consultation online

The state capital of Stuttgart charges fees for the use of rooms in accommodation for refugees. Here you will find important information on the user fees and can arrange a consultation appointment online.

User fees for accommodation

The amount of the user fee for dormitories or apartments is generally based on the costs calculated per square meter of living and sleeping space provided. This area is also known as the "target area". In Stuttgart, there are two different fees depending on the area occupied. There are also upper limits for couples and single people with two or more unmarried children up to the age of 25 living in the household. In addition, people who have to bear the costs of accommodation themselves pay reduced fees.

An overview of the user fees can be found in section 13 of the  statutes on the use of accommodation for refugees of the Office for Social Affairs and Participation (opens in a new tab).

The amount of the user fee is specified in the so-called fee notice. It is addressed to the person staying in the accommodation.

Would you like to apply for a reduced user fee? Or would you like advice on the user fees? Then you can make an appointment directly online via the link below.

If you have any questions about the payment of your user fees, please contact the office that grants your benefit directly. As a rule, this is the  Citizens' Service for Social Benefits (opens in a new tab) or the  Jobcenter (opens in a new tab).
