Apply for basic benefits for old age and reduced earning capacity

You are registered with your main residence in the state capital Stuttgart. If you live in an institution, please submit the application to the city or district in which you lived before admission to the institution.

Please make an appointment with your local Citizens' Service for Social Services.

• Identification document (for example, identity card)
• Proof of permanent and full reduction in earning capacity (e.g. pension notice)
• Proof of income - also of the spouse or partner, e.g. pension statements (also from abroad), pensions, income from employment, income from housing rights, interest income, rental and leasing income, other income from capital assets, child benefit, alimony payments, etc.
• Proof of existing assets, including savings, house and real estate assets, motor vehicles, surrender values of insurance policies (life or death insurance), valuables, securities, shares, etc.
• Evidence of expenses (e.g. rental agreement, rent receipts, heating costs, documents on insurance premiums)
• Evidence of special family situations (e.g. divorce decree, maintenance order)

The processing time depends on the individual case and the individual examination.
