With the State Family Pass, families can visit state palaces, gardens and museums in Baden-Württemberg free of charge or at a reduced admission price. You can take advantage of this offer a total of 22 times a year.
Free of charge are, for example
- Museum of Natural History Stuttgart
- Linden-Museum Stuttgart
- Constance State Archaeological Museum
- Technoseum in Mannheim
- Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe (ZKM)
The other palaces, gardens and museums without their own voucher can be visited free of charge with the six "Other object" vouchers - even several times a year. It is not permitted to visit the state palaces and gardens and the state museums with a special voucher more than once with an "Other objects" voucher. For special events in the state institutions, it is possible that the State Family Pass will not be recognized. The "Young Palace" in Stuttgart has recently also accepted the voucher for children's exhibitions. However, it is advisable to call the respective institution before visiting.

Notes for your online application
As a rule, you must set up a personal service account on the service portal to submit your application. This allows you to start, edit, temporarily save, and also submit your application. The Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg is responsible for processing your data in the service account.
Prerequisites
The following groups of people with permanent residence in Baden-Württemberg can use the Family Pass:
- Families with at least three children entitled to child benefit who live with them in the same household,
- Families with only one parent living in the same household as at least one child entitled to child benefit,
- Families with a severely disabled child entitled to child benefit (at least 50% reduced earning capacity) who live with them in the same household,
- Families who are entitled to housing benefit, citizen's allowance or child supplement and live with at least one child entitled to child benefit in the same household
- Families who receive benefits under the Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act (AsylbLG) and live in the same household as at least one child entitled to child benefit.
Note: The state family pass is not dependent on income.
Procedure
The state family pass can be applied for online or in person at the district town halls.
Required documents
- Completed application form: Application for state family passport PDF-File 1,30 MB
- Identity card or passport (when applying on site)
- Proof of eligibility for child benefit (e.g. on salary statement)
- for children with disabilities: Severely disabled person's identity card
- in case of Hartz IV or child supplement: benefit notification
- for asylum seekers: notification according to the Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act and a valid residence document
Processing time
The state family pass with the voucher cards will be handed out immediately upon presentation.
