Examination ability or examination facilitation for students - official medical certificate

An examination/assessment of the state of health is carried out. Subsequently, a written opinion on the ability to take the examination is drawn up by a public health officer.

• Current medical certificate, which must include the following

1. current symptoms
2. diagnosis
3. therapy
4. expected duration of the illness
5. effect of the illness on participation in the examination
6. If the examination is cancelled, the certificate must state that the illness only occurred during the examination and could not have been foreseen by the examinee.

• Valid identification document
• Examination regulations of the university/college/university of applied sciences stating that an official medical examination is required or a justified order from your university/college/university of applied sciences

On the day of the examination date at the latest, the illness must be certified by the attending physician.

Note: Outside the usual opening hours of the doctor's offices, you can contact the emergency practices and, in exceptional cases, the outpatient clinics of the hospitals. If you are bedridden and ill, your family doctor or the emergency medical service can prepare the certificate during a home visit.

Official medical services - expert opinion on the question of examination eligibility, workload for the first hour

Costs: 105 Euro

Further information: Workload for each additional half hour: 52.00 euros. In accordance with the current amendment to the Health Service Act (ÖGDG), since 01.01.2016 , medical examinations to assess eligibility for examinations have only been carried out by suitable registered or other licensed doctors.
