• Proof of custody of the child, e.g. copy of the custody declaration, certificate of non-issuance of the custody declaration or divorce decree (not required if the parents of the child are married to each other)
• for nationals of non-EU countries: Copy of passport and residence permit
• Childcare contract with the childminder
• Permission to provide day care for children if the childminder does not live in Stuttgart
• Current occupancy plan filled out by the childminder

If the child is younger than one year or older than three years at the start of day care, the following documents from the parents/single parent must be enclosed:

• Employment contracts OR

• School certificate and timetable OR

• Certificate of enrollment OR

• Notification of the granting of benefits for integration into employment in accordance with SGB II

If there is no place available in a day care center: a registration in a day care center (municipal or non-urban) or a confirmation for a later date

• Bonuscard + culture (if available)
• Copy of the Stuttgart Family Card (if available) and copy of the current top-up receipt
