The Wohn-Berechtigungs-Schein is for all persons in the household.
When you move into the social housing, you must give the landlord
the Wohn-Berechtigungs-Schein to the landlord.
A Wohn-Berechtigungs-Schein gives you the opportunity to
to get a rental contract.
But you do not get with the Wohn-Berechtigungs-Schein
not automatically an apartment!
The Wohn-Berechtigungs-Schein is always valid for one year.
You can also have your name put on a list of people looking for accommodation.

What are the requirements?
- You live in Baden-Württemberg?
Then your municipality is responsible for the Wohn-Berechtigungs-Schein.
- You want to move to Baden-Württemberg?
Then the municipality of your future residence is responsible.
- You must be looking for housing.
That means:
You need a new apartment.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You come from another country?
And the country does not belong to the European Union?
Then you must have a residence permit for Germany.
The residence permit must be for at least one year.
- The income of all persons in the household must be less
than a certain value.

Then you need to keep this in mind:
- You must have lived in Stuttgart for at least 3 years.
- Do you have a job in Stuttgart?
Then you do not have to have lived in Stuttgart for 3 years.
- Are you single?
That means:
You live without your family?
Then you must be at least 25 years old.
- You have your own income.
You also pay the rent from this.
You do not receive unemployment benefit 2.
This is also known as Hartz 4.
And you do not receive basic income support.

- at the district town halls in the city districts

Notice:
The Wohn-Berechtigungs-Schein always counts for one year.
Is the year over?

- Proof of sick money
Other proofs like for example:
- Severely disabled certificate or notice from the pension office
- Passport or residence permit for people,
who come from another country and the country does not belong to the European Union
