In addition to the "Stuttgarter Rössle" electric cargo bike rental program, the new "Rössle Kids" program has now been launched, which is aimed at financially disadvantaged families in Stuttgart.
For five euros a month, households with a Bonuscard + Culture or eight euros for FamilienCard households have low-threshold and low-cost access to children's bicycles of various sizes. These families often only have limited financial leeway to purchase suitable children's bikes for their growing children in addition to everyday necessities. The bikes are rented out exclusively to this group of people.
Like the "Stuttgarter Rössle" e-cargo bikes, the "Rössle-Kids" are also managed and rented out by Neue Arbeit gGmbH on behalf of the city. In order to reduce the administrative burden, among other things, the rental contract must be concluded for at least six months. After that, it can be terminated on a monthly basis. Of course, it is also possible to upgrade to a larger bike if available.
There are currently 60 children's and youth bikes available in sizes 16, 20 and 24 inches. The bikes are available for hire at the bicycle service stations of Neue Arbeit gGmbH in Bad Cannstatt and Vaihingen. In your own interest, any loss of the bike should be covered by your own household contents insurance.
