Aynur Karlikli, The Left

I was born in Ankara in 1964. My family moved to Germany in 1971, first near Nagold, then to Dormagen (NRW) and I have been living in Stuttgart, my adopted home, since 1981.

As a trained industrial clerk, I worked for 29 years in an energy supply company. I have been working in a public authority for two years.

Before I became a member of Die Linke in 2015, I was involved in the Turkish-Kurdish peace movement for many years. I am well anchored in the Alevi-Kurdish community.
