- Ludwigstrasse day care center for children: The Ludwigstrasse day care center for children in the Rudolf Schmid and Hermann Schmid Foundation building in Stuttgart has a vacancy for a Federal Volunteer Service position with immediate effect. Up to 140 children aged between 8 weeks and 10 years are educated, cared for and supported daily at the day care center. The day care center works according to the "Einstein in the day care center" concept.

- Daycare center for children Felix-Dahn-Straße: The daycare center for children Felix-Dahn-Straße in Stuttgart-Degerloch is offering a position for the Federal Volunteer Service from September 1, 2016. The daycare center looks after up to 110 children aged between 8 weeks and 6 years every day. We work according to the "Einstein in der Kita" information concept, which allows us to make new experiences and explore new paths together with the children.

The main activities to be performed by volunteers are as follows:
- Helping to set up and take down at intergenerational events, such as setting up tables and chairs, setting up the stage

- Help in the office and with public relations work
- Garden maintenance

Federal Volunteer Service at Stuttgart Hospital
The hospital offers a variety of positions for those interested in doing federal volunteer service at the hospital. This is open to citizens who have completed full-time compulsory education: young people after school, people in middle age and senior citizens. Age, gender, nationality or the type of school-leaving qualification do not play a role.
The Federal Volunteer Service can be performed for between 6 and 18 months. It usually lasts 12 months and is completed full-time (39 hours/week). From the age of 27, employment is also possible on a part-time basis (at least 20 hours per week). Federal volunteers receive pocket money and monetary compensation for food and accommodation.
Each federal volunteer is accompanied pedagogically and receives a structured induction into his or her area of responsibility on site.
Upon completion of the federal voluntary service, volunteers receive a qualified certificate.
Areas, examples of tasks and working conditions
- In nursing care
Assistance with daily basic care, assistance with getting up and dressing, making beds, etc. Usually early and late shifts alternate, as well as weekend duty every 14 days. - In laboratory/radiology/blu-ray center/OP.
Transport and messenger services, simple analytical work, collecting examination material, assisting staff in the operating departments, etc. - In patient escort service
Accompanying patients from the wards to various examinations in the hospital. - In the therapeutic assistance service (town house)
Collaboration in therapeutic groups, escort of home residents to the doctor, etc. (regular working hours as well as fortnightly weekend duty). - In the community psychiatric service
Collaboration in the day care center, support in client care, getting to know the problems of mentally ill people, accompaniment, information, assistance in care, etc. - In the supply service
Supply of the wards with furniture, linen, drinks, beds, etc. (regular working hours, in individual cases weekend duty)
In the clinic for vascular surgery (Katharinenhospital)
Targeted patient support and care in combination examinations, approximating the activity profile of a physician. - In the Therapy Center
Assistance with physiotherapeutic care of patients, help with difficult transfers, supervision during ergometer training, etc.
Who can participate?
All those who
- would like to bridge the time until they start their studies or vocational training

Pocket money
- under 25 year olds receive 210 € pocket money per month
- over 25 year old federal volunteers receive 310 € pocket money per month
- additional monthly allowance for meals in the amount of 150 €
- additional monthly accommodation allowance of 120 € (within the limits of free capacity, a room in one of our dormitories is possible)
Insurances
- All payments are subject to social insurance
- Contributions for pension, accident, health, nursing care and unemployment insurance are paid by Klinikum Stuttgart
