Transparent and informative - this is how the Stuttgart Official Gazette has presented the work of the city administration since 1901. What does the city council decide on? Where is construction currently underway? How are the refuse collection dates changing? And where is something going on in the city? It's always been true: it's in the official gazette. Anyone interested in local politics will find a compact overview here every week - with background reports, reports on the town hall and opinions from the local council.
Proven quality in a new format
The digital official gazette (opens in a new tab) now complements the tried-and-tested print edition without replacing it. With the e-paper, readers will have important information and interesting articles with them at all times - whether they are on the move, at home or on vacation. The digital version offers additional functions: For example, subscribers can also have the articles read aloud to them. With their access data, they also have access to older issues in the archive.
"The digital Amtsblatt in your pocket is a step forward. However, our aim remains the same as it has been for the last 124 years: We want to provide our readers with reliable, comprehensive and comprehensible information about political decisions and the work and services of Stuttgart's city administration," says Dr. Susanne Kaufmann, Head of the Communications Department.
Participation for all - the right subscription
The e-paper subscription costs 25.20 euros and is therefore cheaper than the classic subscription to the printed edition (36 euros). In future, there will also be a combined subscription for 39 euros, which includes both the digital and printed versions.
For the first time, the Official Gazette is offering a subscription with a social scale: BonusCard holders and people under the age of 25 pay just 18 euros for an annual subscription to the digital edition. "It is extremely important to me that people with a low income can receive all the important information from their city's town hall for a very reasonable annual price. This also has something to do with participation and the promotion of democracy," explains Kaufmann.
The app for the Stuttgarter Amtsblatt is available in the well-known app stores (search term "Stuttgarter Amtsblatt"). The print edition is published every Thursday, the e-paper on Wednesdays from 6 pm.
All information on subscription models and subscription methods is published on the subscription page (opens in a new tab).
