Recycling centers

Stuttgart currently has five recycling centers in the districts of Hedelfingen, Münster, Plieningen, Weilimdorf and Vaihingen. Households and businesses in Stuttgart can deliver normal household quantities here.

The Hedelfingen recycling center is one of five in the Stuttgart city area.

If you deliver items to the recycling center, we need to know where they come from, as we can only accept items from Stuttgart homes or company headquarters. Therefore, we ask that you provide us with appropriate proof. This can be an identity card, a valid passport with a corresponding rental contract, a current certificate of registration or even the fee notice.

What do you have to watch out for at the recycling center?

To ensure that your visit to the recycling center runs smoothly, you should keep the following important points in mind:

  • Please note the opening and unloading times. You will find these under the dates of the respective recycling center.
  • The staff are not allowed to help you unload, so please take an accompanying person with you if necessary.
  • Sort in advance. This makes it easier for you to drop off on site and reduces the unloading time. Residual waste is not accepted.
  • Cars, cars with trailers or vans with a maximum permissible total weight of 3.5 tons are permitted for delivery.
  • Dismantle your cupboards and other bulky furniture as much as possible. This will make transportation and unloading on site easier.
  • Used oil, fuel and removable batteries and lamps must be removed from appliances before delivery.

Costs and acceptance conditions

You can drop off most items free of charge. For some, however, a fee will be charged.
