Public toilets

There are around 70 public toilets in Stuttgart, which are managed by our AWS team. We have compiled information on the public toilets and an overview of where you can find the nearest toilet for you here.

Stuttgart's oldest toilet is located on Ostendplatz: the city of Stuttgart planned the first public toilet facility back in 1905 and finally built it on Ostendplatz in 1920. In 2009, the entire toilet block with its pagoda-like roof was moved and is now located around 100 meters away from its original site.

The public toilets in Stuttgart are equipped in different ways: there are conventional toilet facilities and modern, disabled-friendly automatic facilities. The automatic facilities offer additional comfort, for example fully automatic cleaning.

Regardless of how the Stuttgart toilets are equipped, we make sure they are of a high standard. And should a toilet ever be defective - simply report it  online (opens in a new tab).

The nearest toilet is easy to find on the  interactive map (opens in a new tab).

People with physical disabilities can use many toilets free of charge with a Euro-WC key. In Germany, CBF Darmstadt provides this Euro key at cost price.
