Various trombone choirs from Stuttgart and the region climb the 232 steps up the 60-metre-high tower and then delight Christmas market visitors with their sounds.
Blowing from the west tower of Stuttgart's central collegiate church is one of the city's oldest traditions. There has been regular tower blowing since 1618, currently on Tuesday and Thursday market days at 8.45 am.
