Wedding in the heart of Stuttgart
The New Palace was built between 1746 and 1807 as the residence of the dukes and kings of Württemberg. When Carl Eugen von Württemberg came to Stuttgart in 1744 at the age of 16, the Old Palace was no longer sufficient for his needs, and a new residence was needed. Representative events are still held there today.
The wedding ceremony is held in the magnificent marble hall, illuminated by seven silver chandeliers dating from 1762 - a good omen, as seven is generally considered to be a lucky number.
