StadtPalais Museum for Stuttgart

The Wilhelmspalais was built in 1840 under King Wilhelm I for his daughters Marie and Sophie and was occupied by King Wilhelm II and his wife Charlotte until 1918. The historic façade was converted into the StadtPalais from 1965 to 2011, when it became the home of the city library.

Open and friendly: The wedding hall "Marie" in light birch wood.

Wedding ceremony in the city museum

As a living house of Stuttgart's citizenry, the City Museum stands for its mission as a museum of remembrance, but is also a place for encounters and social discourse. The building offers an aesthetic dream ensemble for a wedding ceremony, even for larger groups. The "Marie" wedding hall with its open, friendly ambience is designed in light birch wood. The many windows flood the wedding room with light and allow a view of the New Palace. The balcony terrace on the second floor with its fantastic view is just as inviting for a photo shoot as the historic staircase leading up to the palace entrance. Like the foyer and the bridge from Urbanstrasse, this is ideal for receptions and meetings. From the bridge in particular, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the palace garden and the monument to King Wilhelm II with his favorite peaks Ali and Rubi.
