Weissenhof Museum in the Le Corbusier House

As part of the German Werkbund building exhibition of 1927, seventeen international avant-garde architects, including Le Corbusier, realized new solutions for living here under the direction of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.

Get married in a stylish ambience of the late twenties.

Marriage in the world heritage

The Weissenhofsiedlung in the north of Stuttgart is one of the outstanding architectural monuments of modernism. The world-famous architect Le Corbusier built a single-family house as well as a double apartment building, which today houses the Weissenhof Museum. Both houses are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

In one half of the semi-detached house, the history of the settlement is shown. In the other, the room layout, color scheme and furnishings have been restored. In this room, couples can say "I do" in the authentic atmosphere of the late twenties. In fine weather, the roof garden can be used for wedding ceremonies. The airy roof terrace is an essential part of Le Corbusier's architecture and, like the living room and bedroom, offers a magnificent panoramic view over Stuttgart.
