Promotion of independent sponsors

The support of independent providers of day care facilities and day care, together with the services offered by the municipal provider, is intended to ensure the entitlement to support in day care facilities and day care in accordance with § 24 SGB VIII.

The necessary prerequisites are created by the financial  support of the department for the promotion of independent spons ors of the youth welfare office. Valid funding principles are developed for all providers and adapted to the framework conditions specified by the municipal council and legislation. Furthermore, the providers are informed about current changes and the necessary agreements are made with the providers.

Support offers

In addition to supporting independently run day care centers, the department enables a wide range of services in the following areas by awarding grants:

  • Child and youth work
  • Youth social work
  • General family counseling and life counseling
  • Youth work projects
  • Social care for schoolchildren
  • Financial management of the state program STÄRKE
  • Migration services and unaccompanied minor refugees

The tasks of the service are:

  • Advising the sponsors
  • Further development of offers and funding principles
  • Examination of applications and proof of use by the sponsors
  • Preparation of notices and disbursement of funds
  • Preparation and management of the subsidy budget
  • Participation in budget discussions
