Offers KUBI-card 2025/2026
Here you will find the offers that you can visit with the KUBI-card. Some offers are only for school classes, others are also for families. You have to register for some, but not for others. Information on the accessibility of the individual offers can be found under the offers.
Carl-Zeiss Planetarium Stuttgart
The planetarium (opens in a new tab) is something for young and old alike. In the planetarium you can learn more about planets, stars and space travel. There are great shows under an artificial starry sky. There are special shows for children. Check the schedule on our website to see when events are taking place.
Birthday star certificate
The stars are very far away. That's why the light from the stars takes many years to reach us and we can see it. Sometimes the light from a star travels as long as a person is old.
For example: A person is born. The star sends out its light in the same year. When the person is 29 years old, you can see the light from the star. Such a star is called a birthday star.
You can get a certificate for a birthday star free of charge at the Planetarium box office. The ticket office always opens one hour before a show.
Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film
Once a year, the Schlossplatz in Stuttgart becomes an outdoor movie theater. At the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (opens in a new tab).
The short word for it is: ITFS. At the ITFS you can watch animated films from all over the world. Animated films are films without actors and actresses. The characters are often drawn. But there are many types of animated films. For example, with clay figures or puppets. There are short and longer films at the ITFS. And there are great hands-on courses. You can make your own animated films or computer games. The hands-on courses are free of charge.
Join-in courses
Who are the join-in courses for? The courses are for children aged 4 and over. But also for teenagers. You can come with your family. Or as a group with your nursery or school class.
When do the hands-on courses take place? The courses take place from May 6 to May 10, 2026. Every day in the afternoon. You can simply drop in for many courses, but you have to register for some of them.

Short films get prizes? This is decided by a group of children. And awards the prizes on the big stage. Afterwards you can watch the winning films on the big video wall.
If the films are not in German, someone will read out the German text for the films.
Everything (award ceremony and films) will be translated into sign language. Sign language is sign language for deaf people. This means that many people can understand the films.
Young Ensemble Stuttgart
An ensemble is a group of artists. In this case, people play theater together.
The Junges Ensemble Stuttgart (opens in a new tab) is a theater for young people. The short word for this is JES. The JES is there for all young people: families, children, teenagers and young adults can come to the JES.
There are plays that you can watch. And there are activities that you can take part in. It doesn't matter
- where you come from
- how much money you have
- or whether you have a disability
Dance training for all ages
There is dance training at the JES. The dance training is free of charge. You can all take part.
- No matter whether you have a disability or not
- Your age doesn't matter either
- You don't have to be able to dance well
- You can also come with your friends, siblings, parents or grandparents
So you can have fun together as a group.
Before and after a play
We meet with your school class and prepare the play. Or we talk about what you have seen afterwards. We can do this before or after the play. This is free of charge.
You can also register for a tactile tour. During a tactile tour, you can touch the stage and the costumes from the play. The plays with tactile tours have audio explanations. During an audio explanation, someone tells you what is happening on stage.
Some plays also have sign language. We also have space for wheelchairs in the audience.

Württemberg State Museum and Young Castle Children's Museum
How did people live in the past? What was important to them? What does all this have to do with today?
The exhibitions and hands-on stations deal with all these questions.
The children's museum of the Württemberg State Museum (opens in a new tab) is called: Young Castle.
Barrier-free guided tour of the children's museum
The children's museum has an exhibition. The exhibition is called: BUNT! Colorful means something with many colors. But colorful also means diverse. You will find many colorful things in the exhibition:
- Colors,
- shapes,
- patterns,
- sounds,
- nature,
- light and shadow.
You can join in and get creative.
We offer guided tours for kindergarten groups and school classes. Our tours are barrier-free. Barrier-free means: there are no obstacles. All children can take part. If the group registers in advance, the tour is free of charge.
Hands-on boxes for daycare centers and schools to borrow
Join-in boxes are boxes with things to join in and try out. Each join-in box has a theme.
There are activity boxes about:
- Fashion: You can try out and make lots of things yourself.
- The little witch: You get to know the little witch.
- Arguing: Why do we argue? How do we get along again?
- Sustainability: What happens to our garbage? Sustainable means: We protect nature.
Daycare centres and schools can borrow the interactive boxes free of charge. If you would like to borrow an interactive box, you must register in advance. The interactive boxes are for children aged 4 and over.
Children and young people can visit the Old Castle free of charge. They can also visit the sound laboratory in the House of Music free of charge.
Linden Museum
The Linden Museum (opens in a new tab) has many different exhibitions on topics from all over the world, with many objects telling stories.
The Search for Traces exhibition
In the Search for Traces exhibition, you can listen to stories, collect stamps and experience great adventures with animals.
For example:
- You meet a kangaroo.
- You hear about an extinct bird. The bird once lived on earth many years ago. Now there are no more birds of this species. This means that the bird is extinct.
- You can listen to the elephant Seraa.
The animals will tell you how they live together with humans.
The exhibition runs until April 12, 2026. Who is the exhibition for? The exhibition is for children aged 6 to 10.
The booklet Tri
Tri is a booklet for children aged 8 and over. With this booklet you can go through the permanent exhibitions with your family. Through games and exercises in the booklet you will learn even more about the exhibitions. You can get the booklet free of charge at the museum ticket office.
Rosenstein Castle Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum (opens in a new tab) is so big that it needs two buildings. Rosenstein Castle shows the animals of today. Animals from Baden-Württemberg and from all over the world. Animals from the rainforest, the desert, the sea and the ice.
Discovery tour
You can get to know the museum on the discovery tour. On the discovery tour, you search for the most dangerous animal in the world. A tour plan will help you in your search. The tour plan contains questions and small puzzles.
Do you want to go on a discovery tour? Then say the word "KUBI-card" at the ticket office and you will receive the tour plan.
Are you going on a discovery tour with your class? Then your teachers must register your class.
Who is the Discovery Tour for? The Discovery Tour is for children aged 7 and over.

Natural History Museum at the Löwentor
The Natural History Museum (opens in a new tab) is so big that it needs two buildings. The Museum am Löwentor exhibits fossils. Fossils are the remains of animals and plants. The remains are so old that they have turned to stone. Baden-Württemberg has many fossils. These fossils can be seen in the exhibition.
Discovery tour
There is a lot to discover in this exhibition, for example
- the first dinosaurs
- fish dinosaurs
- Giant crocodiles
- Steppes and mammoths from the Ice Age
There is a tour plan for the discovery tour. The tour plan contains questions and small puzzles. Do you want to go on an explorer tour? Then say the word "KUBI-card" at the ticket office and you will receive the tour plan.

Stuttgart City Library
Another word for library is: Bücherei. You can borrow books and many other media from the Stuttgart City Library (opens in a new tab). Media are for example: CDs or DVDs.
Staff members support all pupils in their learning. For example through learning programs. Staff also explain to school classes how the library works.
There are many offers for children and young people.
The library card
Children and young people receive their library card free of charge. This applies up to the age of 18. Simply come by with your school ID card or your identity card. And ask at the information desk or at the lending desk!

State Gallery Stuttgart
The Staatsgalerie Stuttgart (opens in a new tab) is a large art museum in Stuttgart. Many paintings by various artists hang in this museum. You can also see many works of art in the Staatsgalerie.
All children and young people are welcome and there are lots of great museum tours for you.
What does a color feel like?
What does a stone figure sound like? You can experience art in many ways:
- You can see, hear and feel art.
- You can touch the works of art.
- You can also hear the sounds of the artworks.
We call this a multi-sensory tour and everyone can take part. The tours are for school classes and groups. The tours are free of charge.

Ballet is a beautiful form of dance. We can also speak without words, for example by dancing. Many people can express themselves so well.

On certain dates, school classes can watch the dancers of the Stuttgart Ballet in training. You will see: Ballet is not as easy as it looks. The dancers need a lot of practice.

Many different instruments can be learned at the Stuttgart Music School. You can try out the different instruments during the instrument consultation.
Learning concerts for children
There are always concerts. You can take part in these concerts. You don't have to be able to play an instrument. These concerts are called Lerngang concerts. These concerts are available for school classes, for example.

Theodor Heuss House
Theodor Heuss was a politician. He was the first Federal President of Germany. He lived in Stuttgart. His house is now a museum. You can see this in the Theodor Heuss House (opens in a new tab):

- an exhibition about Theodor Heuss and his wife Elly
- a room with his duties as Federal President

Weissenhof Museum in the Le Corbusier House
Le Corbusier's house (opens in a new tab) is one of the most famous residential buildings in Stuttgart. It is a house from the Weissenhof Estate.
Le Corbusier was an architect. An architect plans how buildings are built. The Weissenhof Museum is located in Le Corbusier's house. The museum shows how Le Corbusier and the other architects in the exhibition envisioned modern living. Le Corbusier came up with the idea for his house on a tourist train.
Free admission to the Le Corbusier House for children
What is so special about this house? Many rooms can be changed. For example, from living rooms to sleeping cabins. A supervisor will explain how to do this.
Children up to the age of 11 can enter the Le Corbusier House free of charge. Accompanying adults pay admission.
Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra
The Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra (opens in a new tab) is the concert orchestra of Stuttgart. An orchestra consists of many different instruments. The Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra plays many great pieces of music. For example in family concerts. The Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra also plays outside of Stuttgart. They are very well known.
House rally for children in the Gustav Siegle House
A rally is a competition. Rallye can also be called a schnitzel hunt. You can discover a lot at the house rally:
- What does a horn sound like?
- What does a viola look like?
- What are the tasks of a conductor?

Stuttgart Children's Crime Weeks 2026
The Youth Welfare Office in Stuttgart is there for children and young people. The Youth Welfare Office wants all children and young people in Stuttgart to do well.

A rally is a competition. A city rally is also known as a schnitzel hunt.
At the Stuttgart city rally, you will get to know Stuttgart in a completely different way:

- How many corners does the Ecken-See actually have?

Every city has experienced a lot. Every town has its history. Many documents and other records from the past are kept in a city archive. The citizens of Stuttgart can read through the documents and other records. This allows them to find out what happened in the past.

The reading mentors read aloud from books together with you. You'll read lots of exciting stories together! Don't understand something? Never mind! That's what the reading mentors are for. They will help you if you don't understand something. So you can read and understand more and more yourself!

Börsenverein Buchhandel (Children's and Youth Book Weeks)
From July 13 to July 22, 2026, the Children's and Youth Book Weeks (opens in a new tab) will take place in Stuttgart. This is a great book exhibition. Here you can get to know different books. There's something for everyone. And of course there will also be readings. Many authors come to the book exhibition. The authors will read to you from their books.
ifa Gallery Stuttgart
In the ifa-Gallery Stuttgart (opens in a new tab) we show
- art
- photos
- architecture
- and design
from all over the world. Architecture means: How a building is planned and built. Design means: how something is planned and how something looks. For example, the furnishings in a room. It has to be drawn first. Once the furnishings have been drawn? Then it is produced. Art is for everyone! Even for children and young people. At the current exhibition you will learn about the works of art. The works of art in the exhibition come from different countries. You will also learn something about these countries. A tactile model of the ifa building, popularly known as "The Old Orphanage", is available for visually impaired and blind people and is used during guided tours.
Free guided tour of the exhibition
The exhibition is free of charge for school classes and daycare groups. Would you like to take your class on a guided tour of the exhibition? Then your teachers will need to make an appointment. There are four free guided tours with Gala Adam for each exhibition. Gala Adam is an artist. You do not need to register for these tours. There are also exhibitions for people with visual impairments and blind people. You do not need to register for these.
International Bach Academy
The Bachakademie (opens in a new tab) is a music group. The Bach Academy has a choir and an orchestra. The choir and the orchestra belong together. The choir and the orchestra are called: Gaechinger Cantorey. Many different instruments play together in the orchestra.
The participatory concert
At this concert you make music yourself. You will be given various musical instruments. One person will show you how to use the instruments. You make music together with real musicians. The music is sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes quiet and sometimes very loud. You also make music by Johann Sebastian Bach. Johann Sebastian Bach wrote a lot of music.
