Real estate cadastre

All parcels of land and buildings in Stuttgart are documented in the real estate register. It is therefore an important instrument for securing land ownership. As a rule, you can obtain an extract from the real estate cadastre for a fee immediately at the customer center of the city surveying office.

Detail from a digital map.

The real estate cadastre is maintained for the entire area of the city district of Stuttgart by the state capital Stuttgart as the lower surveying authority. It shows the location of all parcels, their boundaries and other parcel-related data. The information on owners is kept for information purposes.

The real estate cadastre provides planners, statisticians and other public and private bodies with the data basis for all land and building-related information.

The historical development of parcels and buildings can be traced without gaps since the Württemberg land survey (1818 to 1840).

Information and excerpts about the location, size, use and ownership of individual plots of land and buildings from the real estate cadastre can be obtained from our  customer center at the Stadtmessungsamt. You must prove a legitimate interest for this.
