Setting up parklets

• The concept must have added value to the district or neighborhood.
• No private use, but a place of importance for the general public.
• Presentation of a concept on the parklet and its use and function in the urban area to the respective district advisory council.
• The approval of the district advisory board must be obtained.
• Applicants can be associations or groups with a connection to the city district or residential neighborhood.
• Supervisor (sponsor) / responsible person with address and telephone number for the parklet is necessary.
• The permit is limited to the period March to November and is issued on revocation.
• Noise immissions are only permitted until 10 pm directly at the parklet.
• Parklets in front of restaurants are not permitted as extended outdoor dining.
• No commercial use, e.g. as merchandise displays or advertising media.
• The installation of no-stopping signs (72 hours prior to construction) is the responsibility of the applicant.
• Only set-up not requiring a building permit is permitted.

• Removal of the parklet after the end of the approval process is the responsibility of the applicant.

Permission to install a parklet (32-31)

Costs: 100 EUR

Special regulation: The administrative fee for processing is expected to be a one-time fee of 100 EUR. No special use fee is charged for the use of the public space. Additional costs for traffic facilities - e.g. stopping bans, traffic safety measures as well as the parklet itself - are to be borne by the applicant.
