As a student, you can receive financial support for your education. Funding is possible from the start of your training. You must have already submitted the application at this time. Benefits are granted from the month in which the application is submitted, at the earliest from the start of school.
The amount of funding depends on the type of educational institution and accommodation. Your own income and assets as well as the income of your parents will be taken into account, unless the conditions for support independent of your parents' income are met. If you are married, your husband's or wife's income will also be taken into account. This also applies to registered civil partnerships.
