Applying for planning permission using the simplified planning permission procedure

For residential buildings in building classes 1 to 3 as well as their outbuildings and ancillary facilities, the simplified building permit procedure has been prescribed by law since the 2019 LBO amendment, unless the notification procedure is carried out.

In this case, the building authority only checks the permissibility under planning law and compliance with the clearance areas required by the state building regulations. Whether the project also complies with other public law regulations, such as fire safety requirements, is the responsibility of the building owner. All necessary exceptions or exemptions must be expressly named and applied for by the client. They are then granted as part of the building permit in a simplified procedure.

The simplified building permit procedure is not possible for demolition.
