The development plan specifies how properties may be built on. For example, you will find stipulations
- on the type and extent of building use,
- the permitted number of storeys and
- the permitted construction method and the areas of land that can be built on.
The development plan includes a statement of reasons. It containsexplanations of the planning objectives as well as the graphic and textual stipulations.
Anyone can inspect the development plan.
Note: There is not a development plan for every area. For properties in built-up areas without a development plan, building projects must fit in with the character of the buildings in the immediatevicinity .If your property is located in an outdoor area, you are not allowed to build on it. Exceptions are possible under the law.
