- Your new parking permit will be issued with a new number but with the previous validity period.
Temporary use of a replacement vehicle: Are you temporarily driving another vehicle, e.g. while your car is in the workshop? No problem! You can continue to use your existing resident parking permit for up to 2 weeks if:
- The permit is clearly visible behind the windshield of the replacement vehicle.
- You also enclose a declaration of the period of use (e.g. from the garage or car rental company) stating the exact start and end dates.
If the use of the replacement vehicle lasts longer than 2 weeks, your resident parking permit must be changed accordingly.

You can apply for a resident parking permit online as an initial and subsequent application as well as in the event of a change or loss.

Prerequisites
Proof that the previous resident parking permit has been destroyed must be uploaded online in all cases (photo of the parking permit cut into at least 4 parts, the seal photographed in at least 2 parts with a flash).
The previous ID card must be handed in when visiting one of the relevant citizens' offices.
License plate or vehicle change/addition:
The vehicle/license plate in question must already be registered to the resident themselves or a corresponding declaration of transfer of use must also be uploaded.
Relocation:
When moving to another resident parking area, an online application can only be successfully submitted if the resident is registered as having their main residence in the new area and has the official confirmation of registration. In addition, it must be confirmed that no parking space or garage - even if rented - is available at the new place of residence.
