Residents parking permit - exemption for tradesmen and freelancers

If you are established in a residents' parking area with a self-employed business, store or trade, or if your self-employed freelance business is based there and you do not have a company-owned or rented parking facility (parking space, garage), you can apply for an exemption permit for tradespeople and freelancers. This entitles you to park in the corresponding resident parking area - even if you do not live there. This also applies to public facilities.

You can find an overview of the residents' parking areas in Stuttgart here:  Parking Management.

Note: You can only apply for the special permit online.

Note: Each business receives only one exemption regardless of its size and number of employees. This is issued in the name of the company without the entry of a vehicle registration number for one year. Advantage: The exemption permit can be used by different company employees or visitors as required in the company context.
Tip: Enter your e-mail address when you apply. This way, six weeks before your exemption expires, you will receive a reminder e-mail with a direct link to the online application.

Online service

You can apply online for the exemption for tradesmen and freelancers as an initial and subsequent application.
