E-cargo bike: apply for sustainability bonus for Stuttgart families

The sustainability bonus can only be applied for by funding recipients who have received basic funding. From 2020, applicants with a Bonuscard+Culture or Family Card will be able to apply for a social bonus in addition to the basic funding. The sustainability bonus of EUR 500 is already included in the social subsidy and will not be granted additionally to avoid overcompensation. It is therefore not possible to apply for the sustainability bonus with a social bonus. In order to receive the sustainability bonus, either: no car must have been registered in the subsidized household for a period of three years since taking delivery of the e-cargo bike (delivery) or a car must have been deregistered without replacement in the last three years and no further car must have been registered for a period of at least three years after deregistration. It is important to note that the waiver must have been in place for at least three consecutive years before the bonus can be applied for. This may mean that the deadline (see "IV. Sustainability bonus" in your funding notification) must be extended upon application to the responsible office (Climate Protection, Mobility and Housing Department (S/OB), by e-mail to: lastenradstuttgartde.

In order to submit the application for the granting and payment of the sustainability bonus on time, please note the deadline specified under "IV. Sustainability bonus" from your funding notification.

Category 1: No car registered in the household

An application for payment of a sustainability bonus can be submitted at the earliest three years after taking delivery of the e-cargo bike subsidized by the City of Stuttgart, provided that no car was registered to members of the household for three years after taking delivery of the e-cargo bike or no car was permanently available to members of the household for three years. This includes company/company cars, motorhomes and vehicles belonging to other family members outside the household.

Category 2: Deregistration of a car

If you decide to permanently give up a car within one year of receiving the subsidy notification and implement your decision during this time, the application deadline for the sustainability bonus specified in the subsidy notification is sufficient(see "IV. Sustainability bonus" in your subsidy notification).
If you only deregister a car after more than one year, you will not be able to complete the three years without a deregistered car within the specified application period. In this case, you must submit an extension for the application and payment of the sustainability bonus to the responsible office before the deadline expires (by e-mail to:  lastenradstuttgartde.

Processing takes place within 3 months.
