Integration assistance for people with disabilities
Integration assistance for people with disabilities
is a special form of assistance.
It is intended to prevent an impending disability.
For example, if a person has an illness.
And integration assistance is intended to make the consequences of a disability

And people can participate in society on an equal footing.

The Federal Participation Act
The abbreviation for the Federal Participation Actis BTHG.
The BTHG has been in place since 2016.
The BTHG is a law for people with disabilities.
The law states:
All people should be able to determine their own lives.
All people should be able to participate in society.
Since January 1, 2020, the BTHG has changed the name of
inpatient facilities from integration assistance to
"special forms of housing".
And a distinction is now made between specialist services
and subsistence support.
Specialist benefits are part of integration assistance.
Specialist benefits include, for example, money for a job.
Livelihood security includes, for example, money for rent.
Or money for food.
Who can get integration assistance?
Not all people can receive integration assistance.
Social Code 9 states:
A person with a disability must meet these criteria.
Only then can the person receive integration assistance.
For example, the person must be unable to participate fully in society for longer than 6 months due to their disability
.
