Apply for a permit for oversized and heavy goods transport

You need a permit or exemption for

• the transportation of oversized and heavy loads and
• the transportation of loads with excessive dimensions.

Applications are submitted and processed online via the standardized national procedure for oversized and heavy goods transport (VEMAGS (opens in a new tab)).

If you meet the requirements, the Office of Public Order will issue the permit or exemption.


Please note: The transportation of oversized and heavy loads requires careful planning, especially if the dimensions and weights are very high. The requirements can vary greatly depending on the type of vehicle. Discuss these with the road traffic authority.
