Driving license for passenger transport - apply for renewal

• Driving license in credit card format
• Minimum age: 21 years; for ambulances: 19 years
• Class B driver's license or equivalent for at least two years; for ambulances: one year
• Physical and mental aptitude, sufficient eyesight
• personal reliability: there must be no serious criminal convictions or traffic violations.
• Valid driving license for passenger transport

The application can be made in writing or, if offered by the competent authority, as an online application. If you apply in writing, you can obtain the application form from the driving license office. You can also submit the written application including the required evidence and documents there.

• current information from the driving aptitude register
• Medical certificate of vision examination or certificate from an ophthalmologist
  You can have this examination carried out
  • with an ophthalmologist,
  • with an occupational or company physician
  • at an assessment center for driving fitness,
  • a doctor from the public health department, another doctor from the public administration
    An expert opinion or certificate issued is valid for two years.
• Medical certificate of fitness on a form
  There is a form for this certificate, which doctors usually have. You can have the examination carried out at a doctor's practice of your choice. The certificate must not be older than one year at the time of application.
• For extensions over the age of 60: an additional performance psychology report
  The performance psychology examination primarily includes an examination of
  • resilience,
  • ability to react,
  • orientation and
  • ability to concentrate.

Proof is provided by a company or occupational medical report or by an expert opinion from an officially recognized assessment body for driving fitness.
