If you want to sell a developed or undeveloped property or have the market value of a property determined for other reasons (e.g. inheritance division, taking out a loan), expert opinions are prepared for this purpose. As a rule, they determine the market value for the following properties:
- developed land including buildings
- undeveloped land
- undeveloped or developed parts of land
- rights equivalent to real property (e.g. heritable building rights)
- condominiums
In Baden-Württemberg, market value appraisals are carried out by the expert committees set up by the municipalities. Independent experts and other bodies can also determine market values.
