In general, appointments are also possible by appointment.
For many concerns, a personal visit to the customer center and the land register inspection office is not necessary. To avoid unnecessary travel, please contact us in advance by phone or e-mail to inquire about your request. If a visit is then necessary, an appointment can be made to avoid waiting times.
The development of our city is determined by the responsible and sustainable use of land. Almost all municipal decisions affect the area of the city in one way or another. For every house construction, every road and traffic planning, every leisure facility and every green space, basic data and maps from the city surveying office are required. Digital and spatial geoinformation with its many additional factual information and evaluation options is of immense importance, but printed maps are also still in great demand.
The tasks of the city surveying office are part of the city administration's core business. In line with our guiding principle "We support Stuttgart's urban development", our GeoService has proven its worth with its services and products for the city administration, business and society. Our activities focus on the collection and provision of basic and up-to-date geodata.
The City of Stuttgart's geoinformation system (GIS) is of particular importance in this respect, as it enables us to analyze and present geodata. Spatial data is made available to the public on the Internet and intranet as well as to all municipal departments and municipal enterprises for their specialist tasks. Our GeoService thus supports public and private projects, economic development, regional and urban planning, environmental protection, police, emergency services, research, tourism and thus the further development of the high-tech and economic region of Stuttgart as well as the everyday life of the citizens of Stuttgart.
In the City Surveyor's Office - easily accessible and located directly at the main railway station - our employees in four specialist departments (see organization chart City Surveyor's Office) take care of your professional and private concerns. The office of the expert committee for the determination of property values in Stuttgart is also located in the City Surveyor's Office. Our customer center with the municipal land register inspection office is the first point of contact for all information, services and products.
