Apply for small arms license

• Completion of the 18th year of life
• Reliability: The reliability will be checked by the Office for Public Order before the Small Arms License is issued.
  
• Personal suitability:
  The applicant assures by his signature on the application that these requirements are met. If it is subsequently found that the information provided was false, the permit will be revoked.

Once you have submitted your application, the information on reliability will be obtained.

If the applicant is reliable and personally suitable, the small firearms license and invoice will be sent to the applicant by post.

  • The completed application form must be signed by the applicant.
  • It can be sent to the Office of Public Order by mail, e-mail or fax.
  • It is not mandatory to hand it in personally.
  • Third parties may also hand in the application signed by the applicant in person; a separate, informal power of attorney for this purpose is required, as well as a copy of the applicant's ID.
• Copy of the identity card or passport

The processing time depends on the return of the information to be obtained and can be between 10 days and 4 months.

Costs: 87 Euro

Special regulation: In addition, every 3 years there is a fee for the renewed examination of reliability in the amount of 28.00 euros.
