Food establishments - registration

• You have a business that produces, processes or distributes food.
  These include:
  • Restaurants,
  • artisanal and industrial producers
  • agricultural businesses and winegrowers
  • businesses that sell food only marginally, such as gas stations, pharmacies, drugstores and gyms
  • businesses that distribute food free of charge, such as food banks
  • Businesses that carry out purely brokerage activities
  • Schools, kindergartens, old people's homes, club houses that regularly sell food (canteens, cafeterias).
  • Entrepreneurs who offer food on the Internet. Itdoes not matter whether they offerthe food on their own homepage, via other providers or on marketplaces such as eBay or Amazon.

• Their business exists with a certain continuity and has a certain degree of organization. This is often not the case, for example, with club parties and similar events. In case of doubt, check with the public order office.
• Your business is not yet registered with the competent authority or there have been changes to the data already registered or you wish to deregister your food business.

Register in writing. Use the available form and fill it out completely. Send it by e-mail, mail or fax to the Office of Public Order, Food Control, Consumer Protection and Veterinary Affairs. If you send it by e-mail, you can waive the signature requirement.

The data will be recorded and a list of food establishments will be created. The list of registered food establishments will not be published. You will not receive any feedback or confirmation that registration has taken place.

Promptly, within four weeks at the latest.
