A registration certificate only serves as proof of registration, de-registration or re-registration and also contains the person's date/place of birth. A confirmation is generally issued free of charge at the time of registration, but can be reissued for a fee if required.
An extended registration certificate serves as proof of the registration addresses, nationality and marital status, it also contains the registration times in Stuttgart, the birthday, place of birth and, if available, the person's place of residence outside of Stuttgart.

As a rule, you must set up a personal service account on the service portal to submit your application. This allows you to start, edit, temporarily save, and also submit your application. The Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg is responsible for processing your data in the service account.
